Dezhou Braised Chicken is a classic traditional dish in Shandong and a representative work of Shandong cuisine. Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- Rock sugar 20g
- Cooking wine 2 spoons
- 3 star anise
- 1 piece cinnamon
- 3 cloves
- 10 peppercorns
- Onion and ginger appropriate amount
- Salt as appropriate
Instructions
- 1. Wash and cut the chicken into pieces, add cooking wine and a little soy sauce and marinate for 15 minutes
- 2. Pour an appropriate amount of cooking oil into the pot and heat it over high heat until it is 70% hot.
- 3. Add the chicken and stir-fry quickly over high heat until it changes color.
- 4. Add Sichuan peppercorns, green onions and ginger and continue stir-frying until cooked through
- 5. Add soy sauce, rock sugar, cooking wine and star anise to taste, stir-fry over high heat and remove from the pan
- 6. Remove from the pan and serve on a plate
