Shanghai Jellyfish Salad
Shànghǎi Liángbàn Hǎizhé is a refreshing cold appetizer of crisp jellyfish tossed with sesame oil, vinegar, and garlic. The jellyfish has a unique crunchy texture and absorbs the dressing beautifully. This dish is a staple at Shanghai banquets and family dinners, especially in summer.
食材清单
- 200 g jellyfish (soaked and shredded)
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp Chinese black vinegar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp sugar
- Sliced cucumber (optional)
- Sesame seeds for garnish
制作步骤
- 1. Wash and process jellyfish
- 2. Add water to the pot and bring to a boil, add Shanghai jellyfish and blanch them until cooked, then blanch them in cold water
- 3. Drain the Shanghai jellyfish and put it into a large bowl
- 4. Add minced garlic, coriander and other garnishes and seasonings
- 5. Add soy sauce, salt, sugar and other seasonings and mix well
- 6. Plate and serve
