About Four-Joy Kao Fu - Shanghai Cuisine

Shanghai roasted braised bran is a classic traditional dish in Shanghai and a representative work of Shanghai cuisine. Ingredients

  • Shanghai bran 2 sticks
  • Appropriate amount of cooking oil
  • Salt as appropriate
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • Cooking wine 1 spoon
  • Onion, ginger and garlic appropriate amount

Instructions

  1. 1. Wash the onions, ginger and garlic and prick them with bamboo skewers for easy flavoring
  2. 2. Apply salt, cooking wine, soy sauce, and five-spice powder evenly all over the body, and marinate for more than 2 hours.
  3. 3. Preheat the oven to 200°C
  4. 4. Place the onion, ginger and garlic into the baking pan and brush with a layer of honey, water or oil
  5. 5. Place in the middle rack of the oven and bake for 30-40 minutes, turning over halfway through and brushing with sauce
  6. 6. Bake until the surface is golden brown and the inside is cooked through, then cut into pieces and serve on a plate
