Shanghai Osmanthus Glutinous Rice and Lotus Root
Ingredients
- 2 thick sections lotus root (about 500 g)
- 150 g glutinous rice (soaked overnight)
- 200 g rock sugar
- 1L water
- 3 tbsp osmanthus honey (gui hua mi)
- 1 tsp baking soda (for soaking lotus root)
Instructions
- Soak the glutinous rice flour in warm water until soft (about 20 minutes), drain and set aside.
