Ingredients

  • Duck breast 300g
  • Ginger 10g (sliced)
  • Scallions 3
  • Light soy sauce 2 tbsp
  • Dark soy sauce 1 tsp
  • Shaoxing wine 1 tbsp
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Star anise 1
  • Water 300ml

Instructions

  1. 1. Cut duck breast into pieces.
  2. 2. Heat oil, sear duck until skin is golden.
  3. 3. Add ginger, scallions and star anise.
  4. 4. Add soy sauces, Shaoxing wine, sugar and water.
  5. 5. Bring to boil.
  6. 6. Reduce heat. Simmer 40 minutes until tender.
  7. 7. Increase heat to reduce sauce.
  8. 8. Serve hot with rice.
