About This Recipe

Hubei flat tofu is a classic traditional dish in Hubei and a representative work of Hubei cuisine. It has a strong flavor and is good at steaming, stewing, stir-frying and deep-frying. (Pánlóng Cài) is popular with local families and restaurants.

Ingredients List

  • 500g tofu
  • Appropriate amount of cooking oil
  • Appropriate amount of salt
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • Onions, ginger and garlic in moderation
  • 1 spoon cooking wine

Cooking Steps

  1. 1. Cut the tofu into bite-sized pieces, drain gently and set aside.
